The Young Women’s Discovery Society (YWDS) is a grass-roots, registered not-for-profit society in British Columbia. We create and facilitate empowerment, self-esteem and life skills workshops for young women. This organization aims to provide subsidies for young women to follow their aspirations as leaders in all areas of life. We are volunteers who know that young women are our future leaders and they deserve the space to discover that who they are makes a difference in this world.
Our mission is to inspire, empower, teach and coach young women to be confident leaders with a strong sense of self-awareness and clarity. We aim to provide subsidies to young women so they have an opportunity to impact their community. We do this through our programs to help them discover how to accept who they are, and realize that who they are makes a difference. Together we are leaders in our families, in our communities and in the world.
We are inspired and passionate about creating conscious change in young women’s lives. We honour our relationships through honest communication, authentic connection, and we use that connection to serve and lead the communities around us. We build this organization for all families who advocate and believe in our youth.
